Job Description
JOB PURPOSE (Why does the position exist; objective of the Job) The service engineer will perform the following roles: · Technical responsibility for resolution of customer query and cases · Conduct product training - Perform periodic maintenance service and demand field service at customer locations in order to increase company revenue from services.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the customer to troubleshoot and resolve case issues for Invensys products including DCS and M&I product
- Perform periodic maintenance of Invensys for service agreement customers
- Provide on demand field service at customer locations as and when required.
- Assist the project team for site installation supervision, site acceptance testing and commissioning
- Assist the service manager in quotation of service orders and spare parts
- Assist the customer to process module repair and warranty claim
- Respond to the customer on technical query on product issues
- Emergency standby and response to customer for contract customers
- Customer site visit for site survey and data collection
- Conduct customer, distributor, local contractor training
Education Degree in Instrumentation / Electronic / Electrical / Chemical engineering or related discipline.
Experience Experience as engineer in field instrumentation and control systems installation, commissioning and maintenance.
Knowledge in process control in oil and gas, petrochemical or power industries
Knowledge of in any of field Instrumentation, Distributed Control Systems, Emergency shutdown systems, SCADA systems
2-4 years experience in the site support and service.
Specific Knowledge / Skills Prior experience with Foxboro transmitters is preferred
