PRTR was established in 1990 and is Thailand’s largest independent recruitment, HR and BPO organization. PRTR currently has 4 companies based in 7 offices and employ a total of 175 full time staff and over 1,900 contract and self employed staff supporting 132 customers. Due to successful succession planning, a very good Q1 performance and an underlying faith in Thailand, PRTR is looking to continue its organic growth by recruiting a native Japanese Business Manager to establish and ultimately manage a new business unit within PRTR.
Job Description
ROLE:
The Business Manager will report to the expatriate Director and will be tasked with the creation and overall management, direction and profitability of one of 11 business divisions in PRTR, specifically targeting the Japanese market segment within Thailand. The Business Manager will be expected to form recruitment teams over 2 locations in Thailand and will be given full autonomy for the management and direction of the business division. The job will involve the marketing of the company, meeting with new Japanese customers, handling new enquiries from Japanese customers, interviewing job applicants, motivating a team of recruiters / researchers over 2 separate offices and ensuring that the business processes are optimized and profitability maximized. Being a new business division, the Business Manager will be expected, through a combination of training and outstanding individual commercial ability, to advance to become a Business Partner within a period of 1 year.
The Business Manager will be a Japanese national, be qualified to degree level and have experience working in a commercial B-to-B sales environment. The selected candidate will be very smart, well organized, highly dedicated, success orientated and possess a willingness to learn along with a desire to take on responsibility. The successful candidate will have great initiative, be able to multi-task, understand the full commercial cycle, possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a very good command of written and spoken English. A background in recruitment services is desirable but not essential.
